In Catalonia, castells (“Castle” in Catalan) or human towers were raised to the level of art, they can reach a height of 15 m (about 50 ft).

In 2010, castells were declared by UNESCO to be the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
